Kite AI is a Hashed-backed AI Layer 1 built with Proof of AI — it launched as Avalanche's flagship AI subnet. We grew the community to 300K+ total: 200K+ new followers on X and 100K+ new Discord members. The launch campaign was partnership-led — we bundled the testnet launch with the Avalanche announcement to maximize the initial signal, then ran influencer activations, on-chain testnet tasks, and a mix of degen and educational content to sustain participation. The testnet generated 500K+ transactions, which showed real developer and user engagement beyond just social metrics.
What made this community special?
We designed the strategy so the community wasn't just spectators. The testnet tasks gave people real on-chain interaction with the protocol before mainnet, and the educational content pipeline meant members actually understood what Proof of AI was and why it mattered. This wasn't a Discord full of gm-posters — the 500K+ testnet transactions proved that. We also optimized Kite AI's existing resources and growth strategy before layering on new campaigns, so every dollar worked harder. That's the difference between growing a number and growing a community that can sustain post-TGE.
