DeFi Editor @ Polygon
What did you do as DeFi Editor at Polygon?
I was DeFi Editor at Polygon from May to December 2022. I managed the editorial pipeline for the DeFi team — proofreading 100+ articles, documentation, and partnership announcements. I also reviewed 50+ protocols monthly for grants at PolygonDAO and communicated results to 300+ teams cumulatively. On the partnerships side, I bridged relationships with auditors like Certik and Halborn, which unlocked $500K+ in development vouchers for grant applicants. I also researched DeSci grants that contributed to $10M+ in ecosystem funding through Polygon Village investments.
How did this shape your growth expertise?
It gave me a front-row seat to how L2 ecosystems actually grow — what narratives land, what gets builders to deploy, what drives user migration from L1. Reviewing 50+ protocols a month for grants gave me an incredibly deep pattern-recognition ability for what makes a project fundable versus what's just noise. I saw firsthand how Polygon positioned itself during that era and how content strategy interplayed with BD and developer relations. That editorial discipline — synthesizing complexity into clear narrative — became the foundation of everything I did later at Radarblock. When I'm crafting a go-to-market narrative for a protocol today, I'm still drawing on that same muscle: understand the tech deeply, then translate it into something that makes people care.
